What Will Happen If You Fail To Treat Swollen Gums?
If you fail to cure swollen gums and gum disease, it may cause a host of medical problems that can seriously jeopardize your long term health which can cause teeth to become loose and eventually fall out, increase odds for coronary artery disease, increase odds for stroke and infective endocartitis. Prevention of gum disease is quite complicated due to the fact that the mouth is always filled with both beneficial and harmful bacteria. These harmful bacteria may cause a number of health related conditions and most are usually linked to periodontal disease. Leaving plaque not removed with normal oral hygiene, it can harden into tartar. Once tartar is present in your mouth, gum disease prevention has failed and you have a mild form of the condition known as gingivitis.
